In 1956, Ruth Kistler beat the odds to become the oldest mother to conceive naturally and deliver at age 57 successfully. This occurrence left many shocked since they could hardly believe that a woman of that age could still conceive and deliver without any complications. Ruth lived as a happy mother until she passed on at age 83, leaving behind her daughter, who was 26 years old at the time.
