20. Thailand

Thailand has been a safe country to visit in the past, but currently, the tables have turned. It is now seen as a dangerous country where travel has to be well-thought out with security being a priority. An increase in terror attacks in the Southern part of the country due to religious clashes has made things worse. This leaves you at risk. Crime rates are also on the rise in major cities. The number of reported cases due to muggers, pickpockets, and fraud is increasing with time. Sexual harassment cases, especially on women is also prevalent, especially in nightclubs and at the beach. Keeping a close watch of those surrounding you at all times and even sticking to your travel buddies might save you from all these. Avoid deals that sound too good to be true since some are frauds and might get you in trouble with the authorities.
